The university will need an area of 500 acres and can be built in any state, provided that the state provides land and financial support.

The government will provide financial assistance.

But first of all, the university will be built in Tamil Nadu because the research institute has been operating in Coimbatore.

At present, there are about 300 students studying in the college. The Institute offers postgraduate diploma and diploma courses in textile industry, except for Ph.D. and master's degree courses.

The Institute also has management development courses for industry personnel, and provides solutions for textile enterprises.
