The Mexico Government Has Issued New Regulations On Licensing Of Footwear Imports
In August 29, 2014, the government of Mexico had issued a series of measures to prevent the import of cheap shoes and increase the production efficiency and competitiveness of domestic shoe manufacturers.
In addition, the Ministry also authorized the Ministry of economic affairs and the Ministry of public finance to implement 7 concrete measures to resist and prevent underpricing in the footwear import market.
The government decided to adopt an automatic priority license system in accordance with the trade law.
In January 8th this year, the Mexico government officially announced that the new automatic license system with the purpose of business statistics regulation will take effect on the 19 day.

If the import price of shoes products under the above tariff is lower than the reference price issued by the Mexico government in September 5th last year.
Footwear traders can apply for automatic import license through the electronic window, but they need to provide relevant import information in Spanish.
