Shanghai embroidery, Gu Xiu, hair embroidery and straw embroidery are excellent traditional folk culture in China. They are listed in the list of intangible cultural heritages at the national, provincial and municipal levels.

Woollen embroidery

This is a Western handicraft embroidery process. The Opium War was handed down to Shanghai. Gu embroidery was named after the Ming Dynasty's Master Lu Ming Yuan of Shanghai County, Songjiang County. It was famous for its painting, characterized by its exquisite workmanship and elegant form, and was also known as "painting embroidery".

Straw embroidery

It combines Chinese traditional straw painting and embroidery, and is created by a post-80s Shanghai girl. It has fine embroidery and exquisite brushwork.

Yao Yijia thought he was very lucky, the folk handicraft inheritance's disqualification allowed him to have more opportunities, but such a "solitary battle" also felt the great responsibility.

For this reason, she had to make early plans for the future of wheat straw embroidery. "Study and study for another 20 years. After that, I will run a study class and concentrate my energy on inheritance."
