With the start of Eid al Fitr, the Bangladesh Garment Workers' Federation (NGWF) called for holiday bonuses to be calculated according to the new salary benchmark. Although according to the government's regulations, factories should calculate the Eid al Fitr bonus based on the new wage standard, some government officials and factory owners' associations have been arguing that the Eid al Fitr bonus should be calculated based on the salary level of the previous year, but the Ministry of Labor has announced that the Eid al Fitr bonus should be calculated based on the new wage.
